The other day, nagtingin-tingin ako ng mga pictures na naka-save sa computer ko kasama yung mga kaibigan ko. May nakita kaming picture. Sabi ng isa kong kaibigan, "O, ba't may picture kayo ng tatay ko?" Nagtawanan kami kasi siya yung kasama ko sa picture at kamukha na nya yung tatay niya.
Nakakatuwa noh, pag tanda mo, nagiging kamukha mo yung magulang mo? Sa ayaw at sa gusto mo! HAHA. JK. Nakukuha mo rin yung mga kilos nila, way ng pagsasalita, habits saka iba pang bagay. Yan yung sa physical na aspect ng life. Pano sa spiritual?
As Christians, naging adopted sons and daughters tayo ni Lord at malaking change ang nangyari at ginawa sa buhay natin ni Lord when we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Pero, does it end there--na maging so-called "Christians" lang tayo?
Of course not, there's more to it. God wants us to be like His son, Jesus. God called us to be the salt and light of the world. We are the chosen ones. We are the people who are set apart by the Lord to do the works He has planned for us to do. At the same time, we are going through a sanctification process or transformation. Merong mga bagay na binabago sa atin si Lord. Maaaring mga bad habits to, attitude problems, broken relationships at marami pang iba. It is somehow a long and painful process but in the end we reap a harvest of righteousness. Pero, it doesn't happen automatically. Hindi katulad ng pagiging kamukha mo ang tatay o nanay mo, dito, kailangan mo mag-exert ng effort.
We have to cooperate to the work that God is doing in us. Sometimes we will resist to let go of something na pinapabitawan sa atin ni Lord. Or we do not want to forgive someone who has hurt us in the past. The list goes on. But we have to choose and trust God and continue to grow in our relationship with Him. Sometimes we will fail but it's not over until God says it's over. Sabi nga ni Pastor Craig Groeschel, "if you're not dead, you're not done!".
The question now is, kamukha ka na ba ng Tatay mo?

hi jeff! love your insight! nakakatawa yung comment ng friend mo, sya rin pala yun, wenk! pero totoo---it's also challenging to become like Christ in every way... but every time we wake up, we can always be some steps closer to our "goal"
